SWIMMING POOL LIBEREC

The swimming pool at Tržní náměstí in Liberec was open on 1st May 1985. A consequent modernisation of the whole complex has been executed since 1994. Initially a solely sports facility has been purposely changed into a recreation and relaxation centre, which provides all services connected with the operation of the swimming pool. Besides sports activity during swimming the complex offers a wide space for active forms of rest.

Active forms of rest for the whole family are completed with training pool for children, wading pool with slipway, "water mushroom" and whirlpool bath for children older than 3 months.

Swimming pool is available to public, families including grandparents, interest groups, organising races and international competitions, sport clubs concentration and training.

In the "wet zone" you will find besides a 50 m race-pool with eight lanes also jumping area with 1 and 3 m desk and a 5 m diving tower. The temperature of water ranges between friendly 25.5 to 26 degrees and water depth from 1.35 m to 3.80 m. There is also a training pool with the maximum depth of 0,7 m and water temperature of 28 degrees for children older than 3 years. You can also enjoy a wading pool with whirlpool heated up to 28.5 degrees and with the depth of 30 centimetres. Children from the age of minus nine months can use a water hill and massage nozzles.

The 150 m long stainless roller coaster is the absolute improvement, which is the longest "between Munich and Moscow" as well as the jointless slipway built for our smallest visitors. A new glassed stairway, which enables access to the original perfectly "serving" red roller coaster, will also take you to the new "silver" roller coaster. If you pass the original red roller coaster, you will ascend two metres above the pool's roof to the embarkation glassed view terrace. You can enjoy an excellent view of the swimming pool surrounding but also of parking lot at Interspar, which is ideal also for the visit of the pool. And here we go… The first 45 metres of ride goes through a "black hole" with stroboscopic effects; the stainless "tube" then changes into a slipway covered by transparent plexiglass. You will cross the 50 m pool sideward and continue inside the "tube" illuminated only through the holes with daily light. And we are in the final pool, just next to the red roller coaster. It was great so let's go up the 72 steps again - and again… But it is necessary to adhere to rules, you can slide only when you have a green light and children below six years of age can slide only accompanied by persons older than eighteen and definitely not alone.

You are tired and your legs hurt - no problem, just next to finish there is the entry to wild river with whirlpool, water cave and forced swimming, all outdoor and open in all seasons, i.e. even when it is freezing and there is snow all around. The depth is 1.60 m there; therefore smaller children can enjoy this attraction only accompanied by older persons. This is the real idyll, it is freezing, there is snow around you and you swim in a 26-degree water. If you would like to have your offspring riding through the silver roller coaster under control, we offer air massage beds placed just next to the finish. Another innovation is a mini slipway for the smallest children. It circles the water mushroom in the wading pool with children's whirlpool. It is again stainless, jointless and designed to children up to one year old.

Steam chambers, three whirling pools for adults with 30° water temperature; saunas (including mixed sauna), massage, solariums and R-club serve for relaxation.

 

ROLLER COASTERS

You can't miss this. It is 150 meters plus 35 centimetres long and it is designed for 6 to 99 years old visitors. Younger children and older seniors ride only when accompanied. Also the second 107 meters long roller coaster is of course prepared for your entertainment.

 

WILD RIVER

Wild River, outdoor whirlpool and water cave are situated under open sky and available in all seasons.

 

WELLNESS CENTRE

Wellness centre of Liberec Swimming Pool is above-standard equipped fitness centre with Aerobic Hall, snack-bar and supplemental sale.

Another possibility is a computer generated schedule of training plan tailored just for you, counselling in the area of diet and life-style change, health and relaxation massages or the possibility of a private trainer.

In the Aerobic Hall you will find almost all types of aerobic exercise and now also the POOL-SPINNING centre with the offer of the original Johnny G. Spinning® program, energetically effective group exercise on stationary bicycle, which combines music, motivation and imagination into one performance with exactly dosed training.

 

R-CLUB

Take the benefit of a unique offer - R-CLUB offers closed space with family climate, available sauna with cooling pool, hydromassage bed, whirlpool, JACUZZI-box (multipurpose shower), solarium and rest corner with the possibility of refreshment and relaxation with a glass of sparkling wine.
 

 

SUNNY MEADOW

Sunny meadow provides a whole-day recreation for the whole family during the summer months. It combines the advantages of stay in the sun with the utilisation of all pool facilities. In the area of sunny meadow there is a corner for the smallest ones, beach volleyball, minigolf, table tennis, refreshment, WC. A separated FKK space is in the back part.

 

SWIMMING SCHOOL FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS

Swim program for infants and toddlers from six months to three years of age is another very popular activity - the program is organised by the Children's Swimming Club Plaváček in cooperation with Liberec Swimming Pool.

SELF-SERVICE RESTAURANT TOBOGÁN

You will find the self-service restaurant Tobogán in the proximity of Liberec Swimming Pool area. All-day rich offer of hot and cold dishes, salads and drinks.
